Summary

Description This is not as simple as an ascon sponge, but not as complex as a Leucon sponge (Number and type of radiating canals make it a sycon sponge. One of the simplest of all animals because of its two layers which make up its body. It also has choanocytes, which are not found in more complex animals. Marlin found this under a ledge and it was a difficult shot to get Thanks, Marlin.
