Lilium pardalinum ssp pitkinense—Pitkinense Marsh lily. Included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.1 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). It is also listed by the State of California as Endangered and by the Federal Government as 'Endangered '. Known definitely from only one location near Sebastopol. Another historic location could not be confirmed by the California Department of Fish and Game in 2009. The one known location is threatened by development, hydrological changes, and collecting. The subspecies is differentiated from the species largely by the color of the anthers and of the pollen.
