Image title
This アカショウビン or ruddy kingfisher migrates north every summer. We must have seen a dozen photographers with cameras on tripods with long lenses pointed at branches overhanging the water. They seemed to be prepared to wait for hours. When we approached a couple of photographers who where snapping away at something, I whispered the questiondoko? They pointed, and here was the akashoubin. The picture's not as good as the ones in the travel brochures, but at least we got good look.
