Holotype: BPBM 35457. Paratypes: BMNH 1993.7.22.1 (1); BPBM 35455-56 (1, 2); SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 525 (1); USNM 320765 (1).

Type locality: southwestern coast of Oman, Off Rahah Bay, 16°57.0'N, 54°49.2'E, depth 14 meters.
