Nemachilichthys ruppelli (Sykes, 1839)

  • Syntypes or possible syntypes: AMS B.7528 (1) Poonah.

Type locality: Deccan, India.

Etymology: in honor of naturalist and explorer Eduard Rüppell (1794-1884), who looked over Sykes’ drawing and shared his opinions on the genera of fishes. (From The ETYFish project)
