- Holotype: MNRJ 72045 (field number ARMP 61), adult ♀, skin and skull, collected by A.R. Mendes Pontes on 25 March 2009.
- Type locality: “Mata Tauá, Usina Trapiche, municipality of Sirinhaém, state of Pernambuco, Brazil, 8°33'46.13"S 35°10'9.09"W, elevation 85 m. Mata Tauá is a 280.33 ha isolated fragment of Submontane Tropical Rainforest within Usina Trapiche, a privately owned sugar plantation”.
