- Holotype: QM-W 29130, ♂.
- Type locality: Small unnamed stream flowing into Cid Harbour, Whitsunday Islands National Park, western side of Whitsunday Island, Queensland; 20°15’31”S 148°57’04”e; elevation ~48 m a.s.l.; Rod Hobson; 21st October 2010.
- Etymology: Named after Cid Harbour, where the collecting party moored their vessel in order to access the small creek where the type specimens were discovered.
