Holotype: BPBM 12444. [Paratypes: AMS I.16763-001 (2), BPBM 12445 (2), USNM 208347 (1)].
Type locality: Vertical dropoff at Bairakaseru Island, Ngemelis Islands, Palau Archipelago, Philippine Sea, depth 42 meters.
