- Type locality: AUSTRALIA: W, Lawers Hill, Otway Rge., Victoria.
- Holotype: AM, ♂, 10.III.1979, coll. Austr. Mus. & TTM, N° 1585.
- Etymology: The species takes its name from Lawers Hill.
