Subspecies Template
[edit]The subspecies template shows as X. y. subspecies on the page but makes a link to the article with the full trinomial name as its title. Your alternative suggestion would link only to a page for which the title had the abbreviated generic and specific names which would not be a proper title. Accassidy (talk) 07:26, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
- Now your solution is longer than the Template solution. Your option would be even longer than the Template when including (Subgeneric) names in brackets. There has been a community consensus on using the template method for as long as I have been active here. So it would be preferred that you work to the same standards, but this is a community not a dictatorship so I can only advise and not enforce. Accassidy (talk) 09:48, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
- We don't make subspecies templates. The lowest template is the species template. Alan can enforce you if he want. PeterR (talk) 10:09, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
