I saw your posts wrt the state of Wikispecies. It would be real nice if you returned, your high-quality contributions are missed. (You resigned uncontroversially, so I or another can easily restore your +sysop +bureaucrat bits). We need scientists on board and if you feel threatened/unwelcome, that can be resolved. Maxim(talk) 23:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sysop, yes. Bureaucrat, no. He resigned when he was only an admin, see here OhanaUnitedTalk page 15:15, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hey, thanks, but where are you lately? Your work is missed around here...

Welcome back[edit]

It was with great joy I noticed your name in recent changes, and I would like to warmly welcome you back to the project. Dan Koehl (talk) 00:39, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled rights[edit]

Dear Lycaon, You have been granted autopatrolled user rights, which may be granted to experienced Wikispecies users who have demonstrated an understanding of Wikispecies policies and guidelines. In addition to what registered users can do, autopatrollers can have one's own edits automatically marked as patrolled (autopatrol). The autopatrol user right is intended to reduce the workload of new page patrollers and causes pages created by autopatrolled users to be automatically marked as patrolled. For more information, read Wikispecies:Autopatrollers.

This user has autopatrolled rights on Wikispecies. (verify)

You may as autopatroller use the autopatroller user box on your user page. Copy and paste the following code on your user page:

{{User Autopatroller}}

If you have a Meta-Wiki user page, you can put the Wikispecies autopatrolled user box for Meta on your Meta-Wiki user page.

Theres always a need of patrolling files edited by unregistered users, and if you think you have a good understanding of Wikispecies policies and guidelines and want to help out with patrolling, you can request patrol rights at Patroller. Dan Koehl (talk) 00:39, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sysop?[edit]

Dear, Lycaon! Would you accept to be an Administrator on Wikispecies? Wikispecies need more Administrators and presently there is only 22 out of 150 active users.
Please see Administrators for information about Admins rights. If you are positive, I can nominate you on the requests for adminship on your behalf.

Thanks for the welcome Dan, but I'd rather not yet take up any new responsibilities. I cannot at the moment judge the amount of time I will be able to invest in this project. Cheers, lycaon (talk) 05:44, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I Understand, I realized it was a bit early after two edits, but I thought it was polite to repeat the question made by Maxim 2007. Anyhow its good to see you back, and I hope you'll enjoy it and stay around. As you can see, the project is in a period of development, and with your long time experience any suggestions are very welcome. Dan Koehl (talk) 05:52, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to join the Ten Year Society[edit]

Dear Lycaon, 5th of September is closing up...

I'd like to extend a cordial invitation to you to join the Ten Year Society, an informal group for editors who've been participating in the Wikispecies project for ten years or more.

Best regards,

Dan Koehl (talk) 22:47, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Feloidea unvalid?[edit]

Lycaon, you marked Feloidea as invalid e.g. The validity of this taxon is disputed with this edit in 2006, without comment your markup on the talk page. I just write you so you can give comments on the talk page Dan Koehl (talk) 13:43, 22 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
