Green icon[edit]

Wait, the green icon is considered legacy? I thought it was for "green open access", or self-publishing? I've been using it mainly for ResearchGate links for that reason, though it's entirely possible I could have misunderstood the purpose of the icon. It's a combination of actor, I guess. For starters, the Wikipedia version uses internal links, which are nonfunctional here (and I didn't want to use interwikis), so when I removed these, the distinction was lost.
Logically, I should have gotten rid of the "green" option altogether at that time, since the point is not to answer "what's the archival approach?" but rather "if I click this link, can I read the article?" So in that sense the self-archival vs. open access journal distinction is completely irrelevant to the usage I was envisioning. Maybe I should just merge them down to avoid breaking uses.
