Abstract[edit]
- We describe the female of a new species of the predacious ant genus Leptogenys from the Guanacaste Province of Costa Rica, with curious, inflated mandibles. It is a small, pale brown, glossy species. It is unlikely to be confused with any of the other New World species, based on the unusual form of the mandibles, although unknown females could have similar mandibles.
