rational should be to merge Schaefer, Schäffer, Schaffer. Eg IPNI transcribes letter "ä" to "ae". For global harmonization "ä" should be probably transcribed to "a" not "ae"--Estopedist1 (talk) 10:05, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
