• known only from the type locality, Fairchilds Garden, Adams Island, Auckland Islands, in the New Zealand subantarctic (50.5°S)

Abundance

• very rare

Published specimen records (6)

• 1 adult female (holotype), Fairchilds Garden, Adams Id, Auckland Is [50˚35'S, 166˚10'E] 20.i.66, litter 66/77 (NZAC) [published by Leschen, Lawrence & Ślipiński (2005: 38)]
• 1 larva, Fairchilds Garden, 20.i.66, fellfield, P.M.J.[ohns] (NZAC) [published by Leschen, Lawrence & Ślipiński (2005: 38)]
• 2 larvae, same data as holotype but 2.ii.66 (NZAC) [published by Leschen, Lawrence & Ślipiński (2005: 38)] [different date, but same litter sample??]
• 2 larvae, same data as holotype but 2 Feb 1966, litter 66/95 (NZAC) [published by Leschen, Lawrence & Ślipiński (2005: 38)] [listed as 4 larvae, but the total number of larvae was stated to be 5, so I suspect that the 4 was in error for 2]
