- NOTE: Macfarlane et al. (2010: 428) list 'Didymocantha flavopicta Mckeown, 1948 E' in their New Zealand checklist (E=endemic). This is presumably in error for the endemic New Zealand species Didymocantha picta Bates, 1874, which they do not mention at all, probably misinterpreting Didymocantha flavopicta McKeown, 1949 as a replacement name for Didymocantha picta Bates, 1874 when in fact it was a replacement name for the junior homonym Didymocantha picta McKeown, 1948
