Species groups

The species groups have to be checked.

The only one i have done is the aedias species group.

I have made a complete revision of species and species groups following numerous papers from the literature and examination of illustrations of Type material, as well as other web sites such as TOLWEB. Only a few taxa remain unallocated. Several taxa have been removed from the species lists as they have been synonymised with older described species in the literature. I will work through each species group and publish species pages showing all the recorded synonyms, but this will take some time in a genus this big. If anyone wishes to see my methodology for species group allocation, I will email a working spreadsheet which contains some 653 taxa in 221 species.
