The 40th Supplement to the AOU Check-List of North American Birds, states the following on p 47 Great Egret is moved from the genus Casmerodius to the genus Ardea. Casmerodius albus becomes Ardea alba [196.] [1] Open2universe 02:06, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
