- Typus: L. Smook 1310 (in flower, 30 August 1978; holotypus: PRE [PRE0534605-0(JSTOR)]; Cibachrome: K).
- Type locality: South Africa. KwaZulu-Natal: on road from Sordwana Bay to Ubombo.
