• There is some disagreement over the placement of various species, which some have prefered to place in Pentacalia (Díaz-Piedrahita & Cuatrecasas, 2001; Acad. Col. Ci. Exact., Fis. Nat. 12(1), but see comments by Hind, 2001; Kew Bull. 56:503-505) and Senecio. In the latter case, Morrone & al. (2008; Cat. Pl. Vasc. Cono Sur) conflicts with Jørgensen & al. (2010; Cat. Pl. Vasc. Boliv.). In the absence of a more comprehensive revision than Díaz-Piedrahita & Cuatrecasas', all the name listed elsewhere in Flan (2009; Glob. Compos. Checkl.) are retained in Dendrophorbium here.
