Aconitum tonense Nakai ex H.Hara, J. Jap. Bot. 12(11): 792–793 (1936)

  • Note: in view of morphology, this name was placed under Aconitum sanyoense Nakai by Kadota (1987), Iwatsuki et al. (2006), Azekami (2013) and Murata & Yonekura (2017), while Kadota (2012, 2016) treats them as separated taxa. Nakayashiki et al. (2018: 202, 205) state that both taxa are probably distinct in terms of their DNA structures.
  • Typus: SUZUKI Sadajiro (鈴木貞次郎) [1] (in flower, 27 August 1935; TI).
  • Type locality: [Japan.] Honshu, prov. Kodzuke [now Gunma Prefecture]: Tone-gun, Shirô-tôge (四郎峠).
