Name[edit]

Holotype: BMNH 1946.8.7.89, ♂.

Type locality: “South Africa”, later specified to “Hottentot Holland Mountain [=Hottentots Holland Mountains], near Cape Town”, Western Cape Province, South Africa, by Smith (1843).
