The Wikipedia Library* exists to helps editors access reliable sources to improve Wikimedia projects includig of course Wikispecies. It also helps knowledge professionals to share their collections with the public. See en:Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library.

Volunteers with a proven history (typically six months worth) of contributing to Wikimedia projects may sign up for free access to high quality paywalled journals, newspaper archives, and online reference works. See: en:Wikipedia:The Wikipedia Library/Databases
