Welcome to Wikispecies![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! -- Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 14:41, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Authority control[edit]

Please do not remove {{Authority control}} templates, as you did Charles Camille Roubaud&oldid=3910320 in this edit. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:23, 12 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Author name for type species[edit]

Hello Atylotus! You recently created a page for the Copidapha genus – thank you for that! On that page you mention Pangonia roei Macleay, 1826 as the type species. Do you happen to know the full name of that author, so that we can differentiate him/her from the other Macleays? A reference to a citation validating the information would also be most welcome. Best regards, Tommy Kronkvist (talk), 22:36, 6 March 2019 (UTC).[reply]

Macleay is William Sharp Macleay. --Atylotus (talk) 22:50, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
