- Holotype: BMNH 1946.1.15.41 (formerly BMNH 1882.11.25.13), ♀, collected by H.M.S. Challenger Voyage (Stn. 201 or 212) between 23–25 October 1874 or 30 January–5 February 1875.
- Type locality: “Zamboanga (Philippine Islands)”.
