- Holotype: BMNH 1948.1.8.75, juvenile ♂, collected by Angus F. Hutton between 1946–1948.
- Type locality: “High Wavy Mountains, Madura District, South India, altitude 5,200 feet”.
- Paratype: BNHS 2658, juvenile ♀, same data as for the holotype.
