Type locality: Indonesia, East Sumatra, Lampung Prov., Gisting, Sidokaton, Mt. Tanggamus, sample 1, S05°25.475', E104°41.063', 1539 m.
Holotype: BZM ARC2737 (EMBL # LM655993), ♂, 03-V-2012.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin adjective squalidus (rough, dirty) and refers to the rough integument often covered with dirt incrustations.
