Type locality: Australia, Queensland, Mossman Bluff Track, 5-10 km W Mossman, site 6, 860m, flt. Intercept.
Holotype: QMB, ARC3896 (PCR failed), ♂, 16-30-XII-1988.
Etymology: This epithet is an adjective based on the name of the type locality, Mossman.
