Type locality: Australia, Queensland, Cairns, Mt. Williams, S16° 55´ E145° 40´, 850 m, rainforest, sieved litter, Berlesate 868.
Holotype: QMB, ARC3893 (PCR failed), ♂, 03-XII-1993.
Etymology: This epithet is based on the Latin participle deplanatus (levelled) and refers to the dorsally flattened body.
