autonym or user language

@Pigsonthewing To not clutter the Phab task: I see a difference now. Should the language name the autonym or in the user language? I have choosen the user language by mistake? Autonym is possible too. Raymond (talk) 15:27, 19 May 2025 (UTC)

"français" displays as expected.

@Pigsonthewing These differing language names are another issue. They come directly from CLDR same as all other languages. And I am unable to say which one is more correct than the other. But that is not the main issue here. I think I have the solution for displaying all existing translations now. Feel free to copy my wikitext into Template:VN.

Suggestions to changes of translations should be reported to the Unicode CLDR Project. Temporarly they could be added to the CLDR extension of MediaWiki. Raymond (talk) 19:07, 19 May 2025 (UTC)
