Standard usage:

Anonymous arguments:

  1. Record ID. ID of the record/page, as given in the URL. For example, the record ID for the Eristalis stipator record, .../Nomenclator/Details/45611, is 45611.
  2. Record number. "Record #" as given on the page at the bottom. For example, the record number for the Eristalis stipator record is 46640.
  3. Access date. May be provided in any form understood by {{#time}}. It's best to provide the date in yyyy-mm-dd format, e.g. 2025-03-30 (ISO 8601).

This template now fetches information from the Systema Dipterorum (Q133827950) Wikidata item, filling in the appropriate version and "last updated" date based on the provided access date. This may cause a slight issue if the access date is the same as the "last updated" date for some version (that is, it shows the previous version, not the current version you might expect); if you come across this, manually provide the version and "last updated" date as arguments, detailed below.

If the version number is for a version that is not the current release of Systema Dipterorum (according to Wikidata), the "Record ID" will be ignored and it will link to a search based on the parameters such as the taxon name, author, and year, instead of linking directly to the record (as such a link for an outdated version would not necessarily lead to the same record in the current version).
