Distribution[edit]

  • Australia
  • New Zealand [adventive]
    • Species (1-2): ?P. suturalis
      + sp.
    • NOTE: although P. suturalis
may have been eradicated from New Zealand, there is still the common (in Auckland) known undescribed/unidentified species first reported from New Zealand by Kuschel (1990: 69) as Pyrgoides species 1. Macfarlane et al. (2010: 429) make no mention of this. According to Brockerhoff & Bain (2000: 323, table 1, fn. 6), 'this species has only been recorded by Kuschel (1990) and is possibly not established'. However, Kuschel (1990: 35) listed is as 'CC, common (11-50)', and indeed it is a common species on Acacia in Auckland.
