I have found other web pages that refer to this species as a North American zebra:

appears to be the most authoritative of these pages. Any relationship of E. simplicidens to modern African zebras would be interesting, and I'm wondering if anyone would like to create an article about that. (The current wikipedia article on zebras seems a bit short, and could probably be added to.)

Also, when I first sought information about the "North American zebra", I found no such article in wikipedia. Would it be appropriate to redirect "North American zebra" to this page?
