- Very rare. Apart from the holotype and one paratype, this species is known only from two as yet unconfirmed specimens from: trap 094, Paengaroa Scenic Reserve, near Taihape, North Island, New Zealand RI, GPS 2743693 6170240, 10 Feb 2004 (DOCCOL000308), and 12 Jan 2005 (DOCCOL00565), currently in the care of Ian Stringer (Department of Conservation, Wellington).
