Talk:Acacia ataxacantha

From personal observation, this woody vine (with recurved thorns) grows naturally in thickets. My impression is that it likes somewhat sandier soils near sources/courses of water in the Sahel. Have also noted it in Futa Jalon. With its dark green foliage, it is easily confused with Acacia pennata, but the easiest way to distinguish is that the latter has round (white) florescence, while A. ataxacantha's florescence is cylindrical (and also white).--A12n (talk) 08:47, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
