• Typus: G. Forrest 13344 (in fruit, August 1914; Holotypus: E [​E00317859^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]; Isotypus: E [​E00317860^{(GBIF, JSTOR)}]).
• Type locality: West CHINA. Yunnan: Tong Shan, in open forests, Lat. 27° 20′ N, Alt. 9,000 ft.
