- Holotype: RMNH 9651, ♀, collected by K.W.J. Boelen on 25 December 1952.
- Type locality: “Dimija (3°56’ S, 136°18’ E), Wissel Lakes, Dutch New Guinea, about 1750 m (5700 feet) above sea level”.
