Name[edit]

Schistura kaysonei Vidthayanon & Jaruthanin, 2002

Type locality: 600 m from the entrance of the Phu Tham Nam cave in Khammouane Province, Lao PDR.

Etymology: Named in honor of Kaysone Phomvihane, who served as the first Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.
