    • Stratigraphic and geographic distribution: Miocene (Tortonian); known only from types
    • Type locality: Gravitelli, Messina, Sicily
    • Typus: Lectotype tergum from Seguenza (1876, pl. 6, figs 3, 3a), all types destroyed in Messina 1908 earthquake; designated by Withers, 1953
