Note: González-Gallegos et al. (2020) prefer to use the name Salvia sect. Subrotundae (Epling) Epling, (1938 publ. 1939) for this clade with the type Salvia subrotunda (1833). However, Salvia sect. Calosphace (1833) has priority under ICN Art 11.4 - see the synonymy below.
