Ramphotyphlops adocetus Wynn, Reynolds, Buden, Falanruw & Lynch, 2012: 41

  • Holotype: USNM 529971, adult ♂, collected by Otto Sirom on 15 July 1999.
  • Type locality: “Pasa Island, Ant Atoll, Caroline Islands, Federated States of Micronesia”.
  • Etymology: Derived from the Greek adoketos meaning “unexpected or surprising,” in reference to the unexpected discovery of this species on a remote Pacific atoll.
