Pudella mephistophiles (de Winton, 1896)

  • Holotype: BMNH 1896.1.28.6, subadult ♀, skin, presented by Ludovic Söderström in 1896.
  • Type locality: “Paramo of Papallacta”, Napo-Pastaza province, Ecuador.

    • Holotype: MHNUCP 3801, adult ♂, skin and skull, collected by F.C. Lehmann on 1 February 1945.
    • Type locality: “Páramo de San Rafael, Puracé, ESE Popayán, western slope of the Cordillera Central, 3400 m”.

Native distribution areas[edit]

  • Colombia: Cordillera Central, Cordillera Occidental, and Cordillera Oriental of the Andes;
  • Ecuador: Cordillera Occidental and the Cordillera Oriental of the Andes, from the province of Carchi in the north to the provinces of Loja and Zamora Chinchipe in the south;
  • Peru: Cajamarca department.
