Lectotype: MNHN 3779. [designated by Hoge & Lancini (1960: 59)]

Type locality: “Côte Ferme” and “Brésil”, restricted by lectotype designation to “Cumaná y sus alrededores”, Venezuela, by Hoge & Lancini (1960: 61).
