Phyllocladus trichomanoides D.Don, Descr. Pinus [Lambert], ed. 2. 2: 189. (1832)
Note: Govaerts et al. (2021) prefer Phyllocladus alpinus Hook.f., Fl. Nov.-Zel. 1: 235 (1853) as a variety as here, but New Zealand botanists keep it as a separate species (de Lange, 2021). WS can not take sides during a taxonomic dispute.
