Petaluroidea Needham, 1903

Petaluroidea Needham, 1903 is retained in fossil classifications that include †Aktassiidae. In the classification of extant Odonata proposed by Carter et al. (2026) and adopted by the World Odonata List, the extant family Petaluridae is placed in Gomphoidea, and Petaluroidea is not recognised.
