Name[edit]

Persea subg. Eriodaphne Nees (1833)

Synonyms[edit]

  • Homotypic
    • Persea sect. Eriodaphne (Nees) L.E.Kopp, Mem. New York Bot. Gard. 14: 11. 1966, p.p. incl. type.

Notes:[edit]

Recent research suggest generic rank for this subgenus to help obtain a monophyletic Persea (Capinos & al. 2007). However, see Mutisiopersea and its talk page, and Li et al., 2011 for a contrasting view.
