- Typus: A.J.M. Leeuwenberg 4837 (5 August 1962; Holotypus: WAG {cf. WAG0086378, WAG0086379}).
- Type locality: Liberia. Near Yoma on left bank of Mahe R., 12 km NE of Bomi hills, in riverine forest on white sand, 80 m asl.
