Name[edit]

Parapercis moki H.-C. Ho & Johnson, 2013

  • Type locality: Chong-Chou, Kaohsiung, southwestern Taiwan, northern South China Sea.
  • Etymology: The specific name is a patronym and honors Professor Hin-Kiu Mok, National Sun Ye-San University, in recognition of his numerous contributions to fish studies and for providing the holotype for this study.
  • Distribution. Known from southwestern Taiwan off Chong-chou and Ke-tzu-liao, Kaohsiung. Depth assumed not more than 100 m. It likely inhabits shallow waters in the southeastern Taiwan Strait.
