Otopharynx tetrastigma (Günther, 1894)

Lectotype: BMNH 1893.11.15.34. [Paralectotypes: BMNH 1893.11.15.38-47 (14), 1893.11.15.48 (1, dry), 1897.6.9.268-269 (2)]. Lectotype designated by Eccles & Trewavas, 1989:160.

Type locality: Lake Malawi [Lake Nyasa] and upper Shire River, southeastern Africa.
