- Type locality: BORNEO: Sabah, Danum Valley, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Flight interception trap.
- Holotype: Collection Guillaume de Rougemont, London, ♂, 14-16.II.2007, G. de Rougemont leg.
- Etymology: The name of this species is derived from the acute apex of the aedeagus, as seen in both lateral and ventral views.

Malaysia (Sabah, Sarawak).
